Mushonyi washing station is situated just one kilometer away from the shores of Lake Kivu. The 1,200 growers that deliver cherry to this station live and farm on the hills surrounding Mushonyi. In these hills, the altitude can vary from a low of 1,600 meters above sea level to a high of 1,950 meters above sea level. Farmers, on average, cultivate about 300 coffee trees on their small plots.
What separates Mushonyi from other sites is their processing systems and equipment. The cherry first goes through a floatation check to remove any lower quality cherry, followed by a visual inspection. Once this is complete it is passed through a pulper called the Pinhalense eco-pulper, which has the ability to process up to two tons of cherry per hour.

We do our best to ship the products as soon as we got the order. The delivery of orders is performed by carrier Bpost or DPD, or in some specific cases by another carrier.

If you buy coffee for a company and need an invoice, just fill in the company name + VAT number at checkout, and you will find your invoice automatically in the confirmation mail of your order.
Pick up
Pick up
Select 'pick-up' at checkout and pick-up your order directly at the roastery when ready (Pastoor Bolsstraat 3, 1652 Alsemberg, Belgium). No shipping costs will be applied.
You will be notified by email when your order is ready for pick up, usually within 1-2 days. Pick-up is possible on Monday and Tuesday, or any other day of the week upon request, please send us a message before (+32479520729 or info@gust.coffee) so we make sure someone is present.
