ROAST PROFILE: Medium (espresso roast).
Farmed in the lush valleys of Kirinyaga, the Thunguri washing station receives coffee cherries from over 1,100 smallholder producers in Kirinyaga.
Thunguri coffee stands out with its exceptional acidity and complex fruity flavours that Kenyan coffees are celebrated for. Grown in fertile, volcanic soil at the highest altitudes, this coffee ensures the juiciest, richest flavours in your cup.
Smallholders handpick ripe cherry and deliver it to the washing station. At intake, cherry is meticulously sorted, ensuring that only ripe, undamaged cherry is received. Once sorted, cherry is pulped and fermented for 16 to 24 hours.
After fermentation, the cherries are washed in fresh water and then soaked in clean water for a further 24 hours.
Wet parchment is moved to raised drying beds, where it will sundry for 7 to 15 days.

We do our best to ship the products as soon as we got the order. The delivery of orders is performed by carrier Bpost or DPD, or in some specific cases by another carrier.

If you buy coffee for a company and need an invoice, just fill in the company name + VAT number at checkout, and you will find your invoice automatically in the confirmation mail of your order or by logging on your personal account.

Pick up
Select 'pick-up' at checkout and pick-up your order directly at the roastery when ready (! NEW address ! A. Vaucampslaan 28, unit 8, 1654 Huizingen, Belgium). No shipping costs will be applied.
You will be notified by email when your order is ready for pick up, usually within 1-2 days. Pick-up is possible on Monday and Tuesday, or any other day of the week upon request, please send us a message before (+32479520729 or info@gust.coffee) so we make sure someone is present.
