Smooth and balanced with a twist.

A comforting cup with notes of rich chocolate and sweet caramel fudge, balanced by a bright citrus and green apple twist. Nutty undertones and hints of warming brown spices add depth and complexity, leading to a smooth, bittersweet chocolate finish.

Grown in the mountains of Intibucá and Lempira, Honduras, this organic coffee comes from smallholder producers united through COMICOVEL, a cooperative founded in 2016. Its members share a commitment to sustainable farming, forest preservation and the protection of local freshwater sources.

The cooperative grew out of the Blue Harvest Project, led by Catholic Relief Services, which supports farmers in developing more sustainable agroforestry systems. Through organic farming, tree planting and improved water management, producers work to preserve the natural ecosystems surrounding their farms while building more resilient livelihoods.

Coffee is carefully processed at farm level using traditional washed methods. After depulping, the coffee ferments for 18–24 hours before being washed and dried on concrete patios or raised beds in greenhouses for 14–20 days.

By working closely with its members and providing ongoing technical assistance, COMICOVEL helps improve farm productivity while rewarding the producers' commitment to organic cultivation and environmental stewardship. Every purchase contributes to a more sustainable coffee sector in the Honduran highlands.
