STEP 1

Weigh out 17g of whole bean coffee and grind medium-fine. Insert the paper filter in the Aeropress's plastic cap and rinse it with hot water to get rid of the papery taste.

STEP 3

Start your timer and quickly pour the hot water into the Aeropress until it reaches 200 grams. We use a water to coffee ratio of 12:1, for every 1 gram of coffee, use 12 grams of water. Don't hesitate to play with the ratio's and adapt according to your personal preference.

STEP 6

After 1:45 minutes, flip the Aeropress in one smooth movement atop your cup. The numbers are now readible. Start slowly pushing down for 20 seconds, until you hear a hissing sound. This means there is no more water to push trough the aeropress.
